Animal Communication

Animals are communicating with us all the time - all we need to do is to learn their language. They tell us things by communicating at many different sensory levels. To tune into their wavelength, we need to be aware of all the sensory information we receive, including what we see, hear, touch, taste, smell and feel.

Communication is about 'translating' energy

Because we are working with energy, feelings and emotions experienced through all our senses, animals communicate very naturally during the course of a session. They are also often very clear about what they need from therapy and the origin of their problem or issue.

With some animals things are less clear. Often images can be confusing or symbolic. This can be because in trying to interpret the information, it has to be "translated" in the unconscious mind, which tries to interpret everything according to the communicator's own experience. Sometimes mistranslations happen, but these can be avoided to a large extent when the communicator takes a mental step back and just allows whatever information to come through without trying to interpret it too much. The meaning often becomes clear in the course of the communication.

Dog
Understanding symbols and representations

To give you an example, I communicated with a dog recently who was repeatedly being sick every night over a period of weeks.

Between successive veterinary checks to establish the cause, I asked her what she felt was wrong. She communicated to me a very clear image of a butterbean. I conveyed this image to her owner, and neither of us could work out what the dog was trying to communicate.

However all was made clear, when the test results confirmed that she had severe kidney failure. She hadn't give me an image of a red kidney bean (even though I might have worked it out more easily!) because red would have implied a healthy kidney. The "butterbean" was in fact a white kidney bean, the pale colour representing a very sick kidney. Now I've learned that particular "word" in my own personal communicator's dictionary, I shall never forget it!

Remember it wasn't the dog but my own unconscious mind that was creating the symbol of butterbean, based on the sensory information the dog was sending me.

Communication as a means to achieve healing and well-being for both animal and human

My motivation to communicate with animals has always been a therapeutic and healing one, so I don't offer communication sessions just to find out "what he's thinking" or "whether she likes sleeping in this room or that". I am increasingly working alongside my partner and fellow therapist, Peter Steedman, and together we have created a new and unique combination of healing and therapeutic techniques called Animal Intuitive Therapy (AIT).

With AIT, our motivation is to get tangible and quantifiable results for both animal and human and we've already had a lot of success with it. You can find out more information, case histories and testimonials at www.theanimalhealers.co.uk.

How does an animal communication session work?

Working one-to-one, I can work distantly as effectively as in person. In theory, all I need is an emailed or hard copy photograph and a name. In practice, and particularly if you want to know something specific, it will save time if you give me whatever information you think is relevant. This can be anything from simple guidance like "health", "emotional" or "physical", to "he panics when he sees a blue lorry", "she loses it when she gets to the third fence," or "she's never been the same since the colt was sold."

When working by email, as soon as I've received payment, photo and relevant information, I will give you an idea of when I'll be doing the communication. In almost all cases, this will be within 7 days and usually within 3-4. This isn't set in stone, as it's always up to an animal if they'd like to communicate. And some animals prefer shorter sessions over a period of days. Either way I'll keep you posted and, within 24 hours of the communication I'll email you a full report.
